VMware – newly chartered club

We are pleased to announce and welcome yet another new club into the Toastmaster family.

VMware Toastmasters officially chartered on the 29th January 2015 and President Anthony McCoy had this to say to the new members and guests

“It is with great pride that we have chartered the VMware Toastmasters club in Cork. On behalf of the committee, I would like to extend our thanks for the support and encouragement provided by Sharon O’Neill, Elaine Beare, Murt O’Suilleabhain and others who have helped and provided guidance in creating and chartering the VMware Toastmasters club. It has been an exciting start and every member is enthusiastic about our future journey. I’m sure there’s a speech in there somewhere! “

Good luck for the future from all the District Team

New club in Wakefield

By popular demand, to meet the need for a Toastmasters club in the Wakefield area, meeting on Monday evenings, Speaking For Business is now up and running. You can look forward to everything you expect from a brilliant Toastmasters meeting, and a little bit more! Prepared speeches, skilful evaluations and the opportunity to try your skills at the “Table Topics” impromptu speeches.

Our launch meeting took place in November 2014 and we now meet at the Cedar Court Hotel, Denby Dale Road, Wakefield. The meeting is slightly unusual compared to other local clubs in that we meet at 5.30pm for networking and start a 6.00pm prompt to finish at 7.30. In addition we allow local business people to promote their business, practice their pitch or tune their ten minute presentations and get each evaluated in the Toastmaster way. We would love to see as many of you as possible and still have a few meeting roles open – to book a spot please email us here.

We have an energetic committee shaping up and are looking for a few more willing toasties to help us start our year with a bang! At the time of writing we are looking to fill: VPE, VPPR & SAA roles. Please email the club sponsors Phil Heath or Dougie Brown (Click here to email) if you are interested.
