Sligo Toastmasters & Innisfree Toastmasters in conjunction with Sligo County Council are hosting an “On The Boiler” event Thursday 24th September at 8:00 pm in City Hall, Sligo. On the Boiler Poster This event is based on a book written by Yeats called “On the Boiler” which refers to a certain local sailor, who used to climb onto a rusty old boiler on the Sligo docks and rant!! At times he ranted about his neighbours, he usually did this from a rowing boat, and would move away when people pelted him with stones!!
