Toastmaster of the Year, Sharon O’Neill from Division A, and Safe Haven 2018 Conference Chair.
The D71 Steel City Conference announced the Hall of Fame recipients. Immediate Past District Director Michael Collins announced the Toastmaster of the Year – Sharon O’Neill of Blarney Toastmasters, Cork.
In presenting the award, IPDD Michael Collins, emphasised the enormous energy and passion that Sharon brings to Toastmasters. He added that “True volunteers give of their time not because they want to be recognised.” He highlighted her leadership qualities, offering her unconditional support as mentor to high achieving clubs, including Area and Division Directors. He added that, “Sharon truly embodies the core values of the organisation and it’s always a joy in her company.”
