Opening Doors – Top Ten Tips to Delegate Effectively.

Why have a dog and bark yourself?  You might have heard of this expression – and it’s certainly true.  The trick is to find the balance between delegating effectively and becoming Teflon-coated and not doing any of the work yourself.

How to add humour to your speech/presentation – even if you are not a comedian.

There is no doubt that anyone listening to a presentation will learn more from it if they have enjoyed themselves.

Chantal Cooke (#ChantalCookePR) of Panpathic Communications is a Public Relations agent retained by Districts 71 and 91 to help us obtain national press coverage. See here to read the article writing brief and you might win tickets to the next district conference.

Jean Stewart
Jean Stewart, Doncaster Speakers

Biography: Jean Stewart is an experienced business advisor with over 28 years working with businesses in the South Yorkshire Region.
She has earned a reputation for being an honest, straightforward and to-the-point business consultant and mentor.
She develops and writes her own training material, and uses her ability to observe the quirky nature of human behaviour. As a result most of her presentations have an element of humour in them. Also she has carried out comedy material in clubs across Yorkshire. This she feels has improved her confidence in the delivery of humour. Also she has been a member of Toastmaster International for over seven years, and the combination of experience and presentation skills training has enabled her to feel confident in the use of humour.

#OpenNight Incentive

– stock up your club with Pathways ribbons and badges

By Daniel Sandars, Public Relations Manager

[Always check the The Latest Information on District Incentives]

#OpenNight Public Relations are key to a great open night. An open night (or Open House or Guest Night) highlights and engages an entire club and helps it grow. Open nights can have refreshments, decorations and a headliner speaker. They are an all-round fun night.

To claim: simply send your Open Night guest list, highlight those that joined, and tell me about the PR channel you used. Daniel Sandars, District 71 PR Manager

For Example: campus-based Cranfield Speakers (Division H) had a stall at two freshers fairs, did poster and leaflet drops around campus, created an Open Night event on Meetup and Facebook and gave additional social media publicity on Twitter and Instagram. They had 133 new enquiries of which 80 attended the open night and ten had joined within two months

Support: The District 71 Website has a page full of tips and ideas. http://d71toastmasters.org/open-night/

Additional synergistic Incentives
