This fun evenin g will also include poetry and quizzes.\n\nThe overall aim of this event t o help spread awareness of environmental issues and increase climate liter acy. He has also lectured and written for Oxford\, H arvard and Caltech.\n\nRhetoric in a time of crisis is fascinating and\, a ccording to the climate change activists\, this is the biggest crisis huma nity has ever faced.\n\nNaturally\, words matter – now more so than ever . Words dictate actions that determine the future.\n\nWe all need to refle ct on the importance of the environment and think about how we can communi cate our collective responsibility in a considered and effective way witho ut drowning optimism for the future.\n\nGuy Doza joined Toastmasters in 20 13. He has been a member of three clubs since then including Cambridge Spe akers Club. His favourite speech was one he wrote for his nine-year-old br other who successfully stood for a position on his school council.\n\n\nJo hn Allsop will be speaking on Plastic Usage in today’s world.\n\nHe says we all have a responsibility to ensure our use of plastics is appropriate and minimise the impact of waste has on the environment.\n\nHe say’s th e more we know the better we are educated and can influence changing behav iour. He wants us to have a broader appreciation of the use of plastics in todays world. He will share examples of how plastics are recycled and reu sed\, and looking to the future innovations in polymer technologies\n\nJoh n has been a Toastmaster since 2015. He belongs to East Herts Speakers and Cornerstone Communicators. He has held most Club Officer roles\, served a s Area Director and currently Division Director\, Division H\, D71.
