"Toastmasters has changed my life". I talk for a living through my coaching, training and hosting a podcast business. Therefore, if I am not improving my abilities to connect with people in a deeper way then I can’t do what I love to the best of my ability. Constantly improving my skills allows me to give the very best to my clients with every interaction. It has helped me to see the potential in myself through building the confidence to be able to speak out constructively and effectively.

I have met some wonderful new friends, gained great confidence in dealing with teams and become a motivating force working in leadership roles. My job involves working from home primarily online which can often create challenges in building a rapport with clients and colleagues from time to time.

Since joining Toastmasters my life has changed a lot, I have gained much more Self- Confidence, And also Communication and Leadership Skills. I have a met many more people while attending Club meetings, training and other events. Now enjoy organizing events and assisting other members to achieve their goals, encouraging them to take on roles and deliver speeches, it is a fantastic feeling when a new member you mentored completes their path and achieves their goals.

I have had a multitude of opportunities to use and improve my creative writing talents through storytelling while presenting speeches or providing training to fellow members. My greatest reward has been to make lifelong friends whom I value enormously. They often remind me that friendships are at their best in moments of failure or when we need help at unexpected intervals.

Greatly increased confidence in communicating with people. My job involves working fairly independently rather than as part of an organisation, so being part of Toastmasters allows me to develops new skills that I wouldn't otherwise be able to do

Toastmasters has been a hugely beneficial and empowering experience, both personally and professionally. I have grown in confidence as a communicator. Where I once avoided public speaking, I now embrace it whether it’s a celebratory social speech to a small audience or a presentation to a large audience. I have also benefited in unexpected ways. I joined Toastmasters to become a more confident public speaker and ended up discovering a myriad of leadership opportunities, a global network and the opportunity for life-long learning. The journey from nervous guest thirteen years ago to Distinguished Toastmaster and District Director has been a life-changing experience.

Joining Toastmasters was one of the best things I have ever done. I had just moved to a new area and knew no one locally and didn't have any activities outside of work or family. Toastmasters was ideal as you get to meet a wide array of individuals while still focusing on your personal and professional development.

I feel much more confident in being able to speak in public, in an situation I learned early in life that it's important to speak for yourself, and to do that well you need to good training. Toastmasters allows me to do that and I really enjoy it
