A stalwart and active member of Shannon Toastmasters, Maura has regularly represented her Club in Competitions, as well as in all the Officer roles. She is renowned across the District for her quiet determination and commitment to the Toastmaster Core Values, as well as her sense of humour and can-do attitude.
Last year, she was Division B Director. She showed exceptional Leadership, commitment and dedication during this term of office by also covering three areas that did not have individual Area Directors, gaining Select Distinguished Area recognition for two of them.
Maura is a Clerical Officer for Revenue, and her interests, outside of Toastmasters, include Sociology, History, Reading, Choral Music, Family and Friends.
Earlier this year she achieved a personal ambition of driving a rally car on the famous Mondello Park circuit.
Typically, her first thoughts were to thank those who had helped her in her Toastmaster duties. You will not be surprised to find out that Maura is already back on the competition trail by qualifying for the Humorous Speech Area 13 Final this week
