Fingal Toastmasters recently celebrated a significant milestone – 40 years of helping members build confidence, communication, and leadership skills.
The anniversary celebration brought together members past and present, distinguished guests, and friends from across the Toastmasters community to honour the club’s rich history and achievements.
Fingal is proud to be the home club of Ted Corcoran, one of its founding members and a Past International President of Toastmasters International. Ted’s contribution to Toastmasters, both locally and globally, continues to inspire members.
A dedicated anniversary committee, led by Susan Cummins and supported by Paul Egan, Ann Gibson, and Ted Corcoran, worked tirelessly to create a memorable evening. Highlights included a beautifully produced commemorative booklet chronicling the club’s 40-year journey, a specially commissioned poem, Ode to Fingal, written by Philip Khan-Panni, an after-dinner speech by Ted Corcoran, and an invocation written and delivered by Bernadette Mulvey.
Forty years on, Fingal Toastmasters continues to thrive through the commitment, friendship, and generosity of its members. We look forward to building on that legacy for many years to come.
