Randy Ekakitie – Congratulations on achieving DTM

From freezing at Table Topics to Distinguished Toastmaster

District 71 is delighted to celebrate Randy Ekakitie on achieving the prestigious Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award – the highest educational recognition in Toastmasters International.

Randy’s Toastmasters journey is a powerful reminder that confident speakers are not necessarily born that way – confidence is built through practice, feedback, perseverance and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone.

When Randy first encountered Table Topics at a Toastmasters meeting in Nottingham, he froze. With more than 20 people watching, he struggled to find the words. Rather than allowing that experience to define him, he eventually returned to Toastmasters and began a journey that would change his life

Since then, Randy has taken on speeches, leadership roles, mentoring and countless opportunities to stretch himself. Each experience brought greater confidence, clarity and courage.

Today, Randy is a Professional Speaker, Trainer and Executive Coach, helping technical, engineering and sales leaders communicate and lead with influence, impact and excellence.

For Randy, however, the DTM is about more than the letters after his name. It represents the growth that comes from being willing to begin – even when you don’t feel ready.

“You don’t need to feel confident before you begin. You need to be willing to begin.”

Congratulations, Randy, on an outstanding achievement – and on the journey of growth, leadership and service that made it possible. We look forward to seeing where that journey takes you next.
