Toastmasters UK North & Ireland

Pathways Champion

Summary

Pathways Champions serve a local Division by providing Pathways awareness and support. You’ll be the go-to person for club leaders and members in your Division, organising workshops, Q&A sessions and onboarding events. The goal is to help all members choose and navigate their Pathways journey with confidence.

Benefits

As a Pathways Champion you’ll deepen your leadership, facilitation and mentoring skills in a hands-on role. You’ll work closely with clubs, build strong inter-club relationships, and be recognised as a key District-support volunteer. You’ll also be part of a network of Champions across the Division and District, enhancing your coaching and support skills.

Serving in this role provides an ideal opportunity to complete a Pathways High Performance Leadership (HPL) project or Distinguished Toastmaster project.

Main responsibilities

  • Identify clubs and members who may be unfamiliar with or hesitant about Pathways, and proactively engage with them

  • Organise and run Division-level workshops (online or in-person) on topics such as “Why Pathways?”, “How to choose your Path,” “How to use the Pathways platform”

  • Host regular Q&A sessions (drop-in or scheduled) to answer member and club-leader questions about Pathways

  • Work with club Vice Presidents Education (VPEs) to integrate Pathways onboarding into club activities and ensure new members get introduced to the Pathways system.

  • Promote success stories in your Division: highlight members who have completed levels successfully, to inspire others
  • Liaise with the Pathways Chair to align Division activities with District-wide strategy and resources
