Joanna George joined Stevenage Speakers in 2023, when she was early on in her apprenticeship scheme, and since then, has become the Club President in 2025-2026 and now the Area Director for 2026-2027 for Area 20. She shows excellence in communication and leadership skills, bringing new ideas to every club, and shows that age is just a number! She has contributed to the developed of hundreds of apprentices during her three years at Airbus Defence and Space, and has spoken to over 1000s of students on apprenticeships through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programmes. She completed her degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2026, and was in her final year of university during her club presidency! She has been able to use her time and motivate, mentor and develop countless Toastmasters as well, and she continues to develop this into her role as Area Director.
