Description
Get your club over the line early and give it the chance to win one of three fantastic prizes. The earlier your club becomes Distinguished or better, the more entries it will receive in the prize draw: Achieve by 31 January: five(5) entries Achieve by 28 February: two(2) entries Achieve by 31 March: one(1) entry March results will be confirmed using the official dashboard update published after 10 April 2027. Together, participating clubs will contribute towards the overall District targets of 120 Distinguished or better clubs by 31 March. Most importantly, the campaign rewards your club for achieving its goals early, supporting its members and avoiding the pressure of a last-minute rush.

The sterling figures are approximate and may vary according to the exchange rate used when the prizes are awarded.
How to become a Distinguished Club early
To become Distinguished, your club must be in good standing, meet the applicable membership requirement and achieve at least five Distinguished Club Program goals.
Create your club plan
- Submit the Club Success Plan by the required deadline.
- Choose at least five goals to complete by 31 March.
- Assign responsibility for each goal to a club officer.
- Record which members are working towards education awards.
- Agree on expected completion dates.
Support education achievements
Plan members’ speeches and projects in advance. The education goals include:
- Four Level 1 awards
- Two Level 2 awards
- Two additional Level 2 awards
- Two Level 3 awards
- One Level 4, Path Completion or DTM award
- One additional Level 4, Path Completion or DTM award
The Vice President Education should review progress monthly and ensure completed awards are submitted promptly.
Grow and retain membership
- Invite guests to club meetings.
- Organise open houses and special events.
- Follow up with guests promptly.
- Give every guest and member a welcoming, high-quality experience.
- Contact members before renewals are due.
- Work towards the membership goals of four new members and four additional new members.
Complete officer training
Ensure at least four club officer roles are represented during both officer-training periods. Check that the training credit appears correctly on the dashboard.
Meet administrative deadlines
Pay membership renewals and submit the club officer list by the required deadlines. Complete these tasks early so they do not prevent the club from receiving credit.
Monitor your progress
Review the official dashboard every month and check:
- Goals already achieved
- Education awards awaiting completion
- Membership numbers
- Officer-training credit
- Outstanding administrative requirements
Clubs with three or four goals should identify exactly what is needed to achieve the next goal and set a firm completion date.
Suggested timetable
- September: Complete the Club Success Plan and select the club’s target goals.
- October–December: Build education and membership momentum.
- January: Complete scheduled achievements and secure three draw entries.
- February: Close remaining gaps and secure two draw entries.
- March: Complete and submit all outstanding achievements by 31 March.
- After 10 April: Check the updated dashboard and confirm the club’s eligibility.
Clubs should set an internal completion deadline of approximately 24 March. This provides time to identify and correct missing information before the final campaign deadline.

How to claim
Clubs do not need to submit a separate claim or application.
After the official dashboard updates following 10 April 2027, all clubs shown as having achieved Distinguished status or better by the relevant monthly deadline will be identified. Their prize-draw entries will be allocated automatically.
The prize draw will take place at the District Conference on 8 and 9 May 2027.
The draw will be conducted randomly. Once a club wins a prize, its remaining entries will be removed before the next prize is drawn.
Winning clubs will be announced at the conference. Clubs that are not represented at the conference will be contacted after the draw to arrange receipt of their prize.
