District 71 Boundaries

District 71 and 91

On the 1st ofJuly 2014, District 71 (Toastmasters UK and Ireland) split into two Districts. This followed a multi-year project and vote by the District Council.

During 2024 and 2025, the boundaries of all Districts around the world were evaluated. In December 2025, the Toastmasters International Board of Directors confirmed that there would be no change to the boundaries of Districts 71 and 91. 

The boundaries of District 71 are defined as follows:

Republic of Ireland

Isle of Man

The United Kingdom:

• Scotland

• Northern Ireland

• The portion of Wales and England north of the following line:

Starting in the west at River Dovey, it follows the river until Abergwydol where it picks up the A489. At the Cemmaes Road roundabout, it turns right onto the A470 to Caersws that turns into the A489 to Newtown. The line continues on the A489 to the A49 where it heads south to Ludlow. At Rock Green, the line moves east following the A4117 until it reaches the A456 at Woodward’s Coppice. It continues on the A456 to Kidderminster until it reaches the A448. It follows the A448 until it turns north on the M5 and then east on the M42. The M42 turns into the M40 and continues east and south until it turns east on the A422. The line turns south on the A43 and then east on the A421. The line exits the A421 highway on Whaddon Road (past Buckingham) and follows it south until turning right on Bletchley Road and quickly left on Stoke Road. At Drayton Road, the line turns north and that turns into the A4146. At the A5, the line moves south until the road turns into the A505. The line exits the highway by turning right onto Brewers Hill Road and follows it around to Drovers Way moving south.

At B489, the line will move west and then south on B4541. After passing B4540, the line turns southeast onto Buckwood Lane (which turns into Buckwood Road). The line turns south on High Street and east on Hicks Road until it turns southeast on A5183. The line turns south on M1 and eventually east on M25. The line follows the M25 around London until meeting the Dartford Bridge and turns east on the River Thames to the North Sea
