Club Officer Training
Our District now offers an innovative approach to club officer training. One that is designed to be relevant, engaging and practical.
Participating in training means that you will have more success in leading your club and achieving personal and professional growth.
To start (or continue!) your club officer journey, you need our new Foundations course. Getting started is easy:
- Enrol in the program. You will be asked to provide some information (including your Toastmasters International membership number) and will then receive a personalised training plan, just for you
- Use the interactive learning modules that you can study at a time convenient to you. Your personal plan contains everything you need
- Attend a Foundations Live session to network and learn with people who are experienced in the role
Your personal plan
Once you have completed your enrolment, you will be able to view your personal plan.
Your personal plan includes your interactive, online learning plus options for your live learning session. You can see the latest list of live learning sessions here and you can choose the session that is most convenient to you.
The Distinguished Club Program
We want to celebrate your commitment to serving your club with excellence. To recognise your participation in club officer training, your club will be awarded credit for Distinguished Club Program goal 9a (Club officers trained June-August) when at least four club officers have:
- Completed the online interactive training modules on their personalised plan
- Participated in a Foundations Live session for their club officer role
Support for club officers
If you need help or have questions about club officer training and support, please visit this Club Officer Support page.
Officers Holding Different Roles
If you serve as an officer in multiple clubs and hold different officer roles, you must complete the training requirements for each individual role.
Training Options
For each role, you may either attend an in-person Club Officer Training session or complete the online modules and the 60-minute live Club Officer Connect session.
Officers Holding the Same Role in Multiple Clubs
If you serve in multiple clubs in the same officer role, you only need to complete the training once for that role.
Training Credit
Once you complete the required training, you will receive credit for that role in every club where you serve in the same position.
It takes on average 7 working days for the credit to be assigned to your club so please get your training completed sooner rather than later.
