Calling all Project Professionals in D71!

Are you ‘Tired of Teams?’, feeling ‘Zoomed out?’ or stuck on ‘Mute?’

I’m happy to report the launch our brand new Project Management Institute UK Chapter sponsored ‘On-Line’ Toastmasters Club, ‘PMI UK ChangeMakers’.  We’re going to kick this off on Tuesday March 22nd, 2022, from 18:45 and you are all very welcome.  Click on the QR code below for you exclusive and free invitation this event.

This is solely aimed at Project Professionals who need to master virtual communication and leadership skills in the oft remote world they find themselves in

On the evening, we’ll have a special agenda and be joined by both PMI UK Chapter and Toastmaster members.  Our special guest, friend of PMI and 2021 European Champion of Public Speaking will be Kyle Murtagh.  Not only will Kyle set the bar for what you could achieve, he’ll also share his story from a terrifying impromptu speaking experience, just 4 years ago, to now building ‘confidence by design’ and becoming a major player on the world speaking stage.

Interested?  Then why not find out for yourself.  Come and join us!

There will even be exciting incentives for those who sign up for Club Membership on the night, knowing that you’ll become part of an exclusive club, the ‘Charter Member’.

Also, we’ll be on the look-out for the ‘Magnificent Seven!’.  The new Club Officers we’ll need to get the Club fully Chartered, up and running.  If you’ve previous experience being a Committee Member for a Toastmasters Club, even a Mentor or Sponsor, we’d love to hear from you.  There are even opportunities for people to take active roles at the event itself.  For more information, please contact nigel.smith@pmi.org.uk.

With PMI UK Chapter and Toastmasters International, you’ll develop and master the key skills necessary for you to grow and become ‘the difference that makes the difference’ in your projects.

Look forward to seeing you all on March 22nd!  Register for FREE now using the QR code above!

Many clubs experience a loss in membership at September renewals as existing members leave the club for lots of different reasons. This incentive rewards clubs which renew 80% or more of their membership base at 30th June 2021. Having a good base of experienced members is important to offer mentoring to new members and stability to the club.

It’s a good idea to follow up with members who do not renew to help club officers to understand the reason for not renewing and to extend an invite to rejoin at a future stage. They may be happy to stay on the club’s email list with this in mind.

Good PR attracts new guests, invites discussion and improves the reputation of the Club and Toastmasters generally.

Many clubs experience a loss in membership at September renewals as existing members leave the club for lots of different reasons. Recruiting in the early months helps to maintain the membership based upon the number of members at 30 June.

Maintaining a healthy membership number (25+) gives the club a much better opportunity to hold quality meetings with enough members to avoid double roles. Quality club meetings attract new members. Healthy club growth is an important part of Club Success.
