The Vice President Public Relations (VPPR) manages the club’s visibility, reputation and communication. They promote the club to prospective members, maintain consistent branding and ensure that both internal and external audiences understand the value of the club. The VPPR works closely with the VPM, VPE and President to support membership growth and engagement.

December and January offer a natural moment for people to seek personal development opportunities. This is an important time for the club’s public presence. As VPPR, your focus is to refresh communication channels, highlight member achievements and support membership and educational priorities through strong, clear messaging.


High Priority Actions

1. Invite the Area Director to Visit

The Area Director visit period opens in December.
Their feedback can help you improve guest experience, communication clarity and promotional materials.
Share with them how your club markets itself to prospects and how guests are welcomed through your communication flow.

2. Refresh the Club’s Public Presence

Review and update the club website, social media profiles and event listings.
Ensure meeting dates, formats and contact details are accurate.
Create a new year themed promotional message encouraging guests to attend January meetings.
Highlight the club’s welcoming culture and the benefits of joining at the start of the year.

3. Support Membership and DCP Progress

Coordinate with the VPM to promote meetings that are likely to attract guests, such as open houses or educational sessions.
Publicise member achievements and Pathways awards so the club’s activity and vitality are visible to others.

Spotlight member stories, testimonials and successes to build a sense of community.
Share short interviews or quotes from members about why they value the club.
Promote meetings with strong visuals and clear calls to action.
