Music Techniques To Rock Out Your Speech
Since 2007, Rocky Schurr has been a member of Toastmasters where he found a home competing in speech contests. Since joining Rocky has won six District Championships, and, in 2015, advanced to the semi-finals of the World Championship of Public Speaking.
Rocky is a budding Public Speaking Coach, sharing his love for speaking and the skills he learned throughout his Toastmasters journey, to help others bring their speaking to a whole new level.
In this Workshop, you will learn how to add more rhythm and cadence to your speaking and learn to write a Hit Speech the same way that musicians write a Hit Song.
This half workshop/ half musical performance is an entertaining walk through how to use Musical Techniques to bring out the style and emotion of your speaking and bring your speaking to a new level.

– How your speech structure is like a song structure
– Letting emotion drive your words/ (lyrics) for more dramatic effect
– How to balance complexities in your speech
– How to make sure your message (a.k.a “Chorus”) rises to the top
