Accredited Speaker

Discover the Power of the Accredited Speaker Designation

Do you have the skills to captivate an audience, the expertise to inspire action, and the drive to stand out in your field?

The Accredited Speaker designation is a prestigious title awarded by Toastmasters International to professional speakers who deliver exceptional value and demonstrate mastery in both their subject matter and their presentation. Fewer than 100 individuals worldwide have earned this honour—could you be next?

How have people benefited?

Sheryl Roush, AS: It gave me confidence, credibility and a lot of clout!

Stephanie Angelo, AS: The designation was the culmination of a career. It represented to me, yes I am a professional speaker, I have a body of work, I have been perfecting this career … so the designation was a way to say this is for real, and I want to show my clients that I am a dedicated professional speaker

Dale Rees-Bevan, AS: It was just the next step… when I realised it wasn’t that hard.. it was lovely, and what an experience.

Valda Ford, AS: Allows people around you to understand that you have done the work, have been recognised by peers and you can “rock the stage”

Mohamed Shukri, AS: …go out and serve the world; no better advert for Toastmasters

Rochelle Rice, AS: It was a competition for myself; had to bring my very best to prove I deserved to earn the Accredited Speaker designation

Why Aim for Accredited Speaker?

This programme gives you a unique edge. It validates your expertise and enhances your credibility in the professional speaking world—backed by a globally respected organisation. Becoming an Accredited Speaker isn’t just a designation; it’s a career milestone.

Toastmasters International created the programme to recognise speakers who combine expert knowledge with world-class delivery. It’s a mark of distinction that can open doors to new audiences, opportunities, and speaking engagements.

How It Works

To apply, you must be a current Toastmasters member in good standing, have completed a qualifying education level in the Pathways programme, and delivered at least 25 professional (non-Toastmasters) presentations within the past three years.

The programme includes two levels:

Level 1: Submit an application, video presentation, letters of recommendation, and a fee by 31 January of the programme year.
Level 2: If selected, deliver a live presentation at the Toastmasters International Annual Convention before a panel of expert judges and a live audience.

Those who meet the rigorous criteria and pass both rounds receive the Accredited Speaker designation—a recognition that lasts a lifetime.
