Toastmasters UK North & Ireland

Pathways Chair

Summary

The Pathways Chair leads the District’s effort to raise awareness of the Pathways Learning Experience and help members and clubs navigate the system confidently. This role will design and deliver engaging online presentations, develop support materials, and create the environment in which clubs and members understand the benefits of Pathways.

Benefits

Serving as Pathways Chair gives you the chance to hone your leadership and communication skills at a District-wide level. You’ll gain experience in educational programme design, webinar delivery, stakeholder engagement and change-management (helping people adopt a new system). You’ll also raise your profile across the District, deepen your network, and directly contribute to the professional development of many members.

Serving in this role provides an ideal opportunity to complete a Pathways High Performance Leadership (HPL) project or Distinguished Toastmaster project.

Main responsibilities

  • Create and execute an annual Plan to promote Pathways: webinars, presentations and online resources

  • Work with Club, Area and Division leaders to incorporate Pathways awareness into club meetings and training sessions.

  • Maintain and update a library of support-materials (slide decks, cheat-sheets, FAQs) for clubs and members on Pathways

  • Monitor adoption of Pathways (e.g., number of members who are enrolled and those who complete levels)

  • Act as the District’s expert on Pathways: respond to queries, stay up-to-date with changes to the Pathways system, and liaise with the peers around the world

  • Collaborate with Division Pathways Champions to ensure local support and engagement
