Pathways Mentor Program

Discover the Power of the Pathways Mentor Program

Mentoring is at the heart of Toastmasters—and the Pathways Mentor Program takes that commitment to the next level. Whether you’re an experienced member or just starting your leadership journey, this program equips you with the tools to make a lasting impact in your club and beyond.

Why Join?

The Pathways Mentor Program helps you grow as a leader by developing the skills to support, inspire, and guide others. By mentoring fellow Toastmasters, you don’t just help them achieve their goals—you improve your own communication, coaching, and leadership abilities in the process.

How It Works

The program is structured as four distinct projects, with the first—Introduction to Toastmasters Mentoring—embedded in Level 2 of every Path. Once you’ve completed Level 2, the optional Pathways Mentor Program becomes available in your Base Camp curriculum. It consists of three sequential projects:

  1. Prepare to Mentor – Reflect on your strengths, motivation, and readiness to support a protégé. There’s no speech required—just a self-assessment and a conversation with your VP Education.
  2. Mentoring – Take on a short-term assignment, guiding a fellow Toastmaster through a specific project. You’ll help set goals, track progress, and deliver a speech on your experience.
  3. Advanced Mentoring – Embark on a six-month mentoring relationship, offering sustained support and feedback. This long-term commitment culminates in a reflective speech about your growth as a mentor.

Completion of these projects—alongside one full Path—is required to earn formal recognition as a Pathways Mentor.

How to Access It

To begin, log into Base Camp through the Toastmasters website. After finishing Level 2 in any Path, you’ll see the Pathways Mentor Program appear in your electives. Simply select it to get started.
