Summary

Lead Managers are responsible for identifying and contacting potential leads to discuss the possibility of starting a new Toastmasters club in their organisation or community.  They develop their communication and influencing skills. By performing this role, they build the pipeline of new clubs that ensure the sustainability of the District and provide more opportunities for people to learn with Toastmasters.

By undertaking this role, you will influence the future direction of the Toastmasters in Ireland and the UK and will help take the organisation into the next 100 years.

 

Main responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role are:

  1. Identifying Potential Leads: You will need to identify potential organisations or groups that may be interested in starting a new Toastmasters club. This involves research and outreach to find suitable leads.
  2. Contacting Potential Leads: The primary responsibility is to contact to these potential leads in order to understand their needs, introduce them to the benefits of Toastmasters and persuade them to consider starting a new club.
  3. Follow-Up: It is essential to follow up with leads to maintain their interest and address any further questions or concerns they may have. You will need to keep in contact with leads who have shown initial interest but have not yet committed to starting a club.
  4. Collaboration with other club growth teams: You will engage with the Bright Sparks team on marketing efforts and the Firestarters team to ensure that new club sponsors are engaged and supported.
  5. Providing Information and Support: You will need to be knowledgeable about the features, benefits, and values of the Toastmasters program. You should be prepared to discuss these aspects with potential leads and provide the necessary information to help them make an informed decision.
  6. Maintaining Records: Keeping track of leads, follow-up activities, and outcomes is important for monitoring progress and evaluating the success of club-building efforts.
  7. Supporting team growth and learning: You will share your experiences with other members of the team to help improve processes, knowledge and performance.
